النمل الابيض أو كما يعرف في بعض الاحيان الارضة , و باللغة الانجليزية هو Termite , و هو ليس نملا بالمعنى التقليدي لدينا حيث انه النمل الابيض متصل صدره بالبطن مباشرة دون خصر , و هي تعيش في مستعمرات يصل عددها الي الملايين .

يعتبر النمل الابيض من اخطر انواع الحشرات التي تهدد معيشة الانسان , حيث انه يتغذي على مادة السيليلوز و التي توجد في الاثاث , و الاخشاب التي تملا منازل الانسان عموما , و الاشجار , و غيرها و غيرها .

و لا ننسى ان النمل الابيض هي من كشفت موت سيدنا سليمان عليه السلام , عندنا اكلت عصاه الخشبية التي كان متكأ عليها كما ورد عنها في سورة سبأ بالقران الكريم .

و هنا لا يختلف كثيرا ما فعله النمل الابيض بهذه السيدة العجوز عما يفعله عادة من تدمير و تخريب , فقد عاشت هذه السيدة ( كاى هو ) في منزلها في مدينة جينجيانغ في مقاطعة فوجيان في الصين حياتها في هدوء و سكينة , لاتثق مطلقا في البنوك و كيفيه حفظ و ادخار المال في البنك , و لذلك قد كانت تدخر اموالها في البيت .

و قد اعتادت على حفظ مدخراتها من المال في البيت منذ زمن طويل الي ان اكتشفت الكارثة و التي تسببت لها في ازمه قلبيه نقلت على اثرها الي المستشفي , فقد فوجئت السيدة كاي هو ان كل اموالها قد تاكل منها اطراف كثيره بحيث انها اصبحت تالفة و لم تعد تصلح للاستخدام او التعامل المادي .

و بعد افاقتها و اسعافها بالستشفي اعترفت السيدة كاي بانها نادمه علي عدم استعمالها للبنوك في الادخار , هذا وقد قامت عائلة السيدة كاي بتجميع كل الأوراق النقدية المقطعة و التي قضمها النمل الابيض , واستطاعت تجميع حوالي 5900 يوان صيني , و لكن للاسف فان البنك لم يقبل إلا 1950 يوان فقط منهم المال كله لأن الأوراق الباقية من الاموال قد تعرضت للتلف الشديد . وترى السيدة كاي هو بأنها و في هذا العمر قد تعلمت درسًا مفيدً لن تنساه طوال حياتها , إذ أنها تنوي حفظ الأموال في حساب بنكي جديد بعيدا عن اسنان النمل الابيض .

الفول السوداني لصحة القلب والشرايين

ذكرت دراسة أميركية قام بها مركز بحوث السرطان في جامعة فاندربيت الأميركية، أن تناول الفول السوداني ولو بكميات قليلة، يقلل نسبة الوفيات الناجمة عن أمراض القلب والشرايين.

وربط الباحثون في دراستهم، بين تناول الفول السوداني وانخفاض نسب الوفيات الناجمة من أمراض القلب والشرايين، بنسبة تصل لثمانية وعشرين في المئة، حسب الكميات المتناولة.

وكانت دراسة سابقة لجامعة هارفارد، أثبتت أن المكسرات الجافة تحمي من الأمراض وعلى رأسها السكري والقلب.

وينصح الخبراء بتناول المكسرات الغنية بالدهون غير المشبعة، كبدائل لأطعمة أخرى، لأنها تحسن قدرة الجسم على استخدام هرمون الأنسولين المنظم لسكر الدم.

مدارس نيويورك تعتمد عطلة عيدي الفطر والأضحى

ستضيف المدارس في نيويورك يومي عطلة جديدين على عطلها السنوية يتعلقان بعيدي الفطر والأضحى، اعتبارا من الموسم الدراسي الجديد على ما أعلن رئيس بلدية المدينة، راؤول دي بلازيو الذي وعد بذلك خلال حملته الانتخابية.

وستقفل المدارس في نيويورك في 24 سبتمبر المقبل بمناسبة عيد الأضحى، واعتبارا من صيف العام 2016 ستقفل أيضا بمناسبة عيد الفطر.

وقال رئيس البلدية في بيان: "لقد تعهدنا للعائلات بتغيير برنامجنا الزمني المدرسي لنعكس تنوع مدينتنا. فمئات الآلاف من العائلات المسلمة لن تضطر بعد الآن للاختيار بين الاحتفال بأهم أعيادها الدينية أو الذهاب إلى المدرسة".

ويشكل الأطفال المسلمون أقل من 10% من تلاميذ المدارس العامة على ما تفيد السلطات.

ونيويورك ليست الرائدة في هذا المجال، فبعض المدارس في ولايات فيرمونت وماساتشوستس ونيو جيرسي تغلق أبوابها بمناسبة أعياد إسلامية.

ومنذ سنوات عدة يطالب زعماء الجالية المسلمة سلطات بلدية نيويورك بإضافة أيام العطل هذه.

اكتشاف أطلال حضارة قديمة بأدغال هندوراس

قال رئيس معهد علوم السلالات البشرية في هندوراس، فيرجيليو باريديس، الأربعاء، إن علماء الآثار الذين يعملون في منطقة أدغال كثيفة بالبلاد عثروا على عشرات من الأدوات في موقع يعتقدون أنه كان يحتضن مدينتين توأمتين ازدهرتا إبان إحدى الحضارات القديمة.

وتشير الأدوات، التي عثر عليها في الموقع - بمنطقة موسكيتيا الشرقية بهندوراس- إلى حضارة ذات سمات فنية متطورة ومهارات هندسية تختلف تماما عن مدن حضارة المايا المعروف أنها قامت بتلك المنطقة.

وقال رئيس المعهد: "لم يكن هناك أحد خلال أكثر من 600 عام".

وتقع أحراج موسكيتيا على بعد نحو 322 كيلومترا إلى الشمال الشرقي من تيغوسيغالبا عاصمة هندوراس.

وقال باريديس إن فريقا من المتخصصين من الولايات المتحدة وهندوراس تعرف على 52 من الأدوات منها منحوتات حجرية مدفونة على شكل رجال ونمور فضلا عن بقايا شكل هرمي ومجسمات أخرى.

وأضاف أنه لم يتضح إن كان هذا الاكتشاف يمت بصلة لما يعرف باسم (المدينة البيضاء) الأسطورية، التي كان الغزاة الإسبان أول من أشاروا إليها في القرن السادس عشر الميلادي أو (مدينة القردة المفقودة)، التي أعلن الرحالة الأميركي تيودور مورد أنه اكتشفها بالمنطقة ذاتها عام 1939 .

ولم يعرف بعد اسم هذه الحضارة.

وأضاف باريديس: "كل ما نعرفه هو أن المكان مهد لمدينتين كانتا ذات كثافة سكانية عالية".             

ويعتقد أن هذه الأطلال ترجع إلى ما قبل المستكشف كريستوفر كولومبوس وفي تاريخ بين ألف و1200 عام بعد الميلاد ورصدت للمرة الأولى عام 2012 بالاستعانة بتقنيات رسم الخرائط بالمسح الجوي.

لطالما كانت الزهور رمزاً لجمال الطبيعة وسحرها ، لكن تخيلوا كيف سيكون الحال إذا اجتمع جمال الزهور وبهاؤها مع هيبة الجبال وشموخها وهي تعانق الضباب؟!! ما نتحدث عنه هنا هو وادي جولمارج في الهند ، فعلى ارتفاع 11,000 قدم في جبال الهيمالايا الغربية يوجد هذا المكان الساحر مختبئاً في أحضان الوادي المغطى بمروج الزهور، يتميز هذا المكان بإطلالة طبيعية خلابة جعلت منه منتزهاً وطنياً في ثمانينات القرن الماضي ، ودفعت اليونسكو لوضعه على قائمة التراث الإنساني العالمي ، يقع وادي الزهور (أو جولمارج باللغة الهندية) على مساحة 87.5 كم مربع في ولاية جامو وكشمير شمال الهند ، وتحديداً على بعد 56 كيلومترا جنوب غرب عاصمة الولاية سريناجار، ولا يتميز هذا الوادي بمناظره الطبيعية الخلابة وتنوع زهوره الساحرة فقط، بل يعيش فيه العديد من الحيوانات النادرة المهددة بالانقراض ، مثل دب آسيا الأسود والنمر الثلجي والدب الأسمر وخروف بهارال.
